In order for you to be the best driving instructor, you need to learn from the best driving instructor. At the OJ Driving Academy, we offer high quality instructor training for candidates that want to become professional driving instructors.

We prioritize diligence, responsibility and proper business ethics while training our aspiring ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) candidates. As part of the OJ Driving Academy instructor training, you will receive coaching in ADI parts 1, 2 and 3 with home study courses and frequent and relevant mock tests, and CPD (Continued Professional Development).

The DSA (Driving Standards Agency) has the following requirements that are to be met in order to become a driving instructor:

  • Hold a British or Northern Ireland car driving licence or hold a European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) licence.
  • Have held that licence for a total of four years out of the past six years prior to entering the Register after qualifying. A foreign driving licence or provisional licence held after passing the driving test all count towards the four years.
